It’s a fact….Everyone will have a few “off” days with food choices in our health journey. The “off” days may last a weekend, a few weeks, or even longer. We have to expect to have challenges when doing something difficult. If it was easy to lose fat, the obesity rate wouldn’t be so high!
I know how hard it can feel getting back on track. I’ve heard clients say they want to give up when they have a setback. I’ve felt the same way and I don’t want you to give up on your goals!
Here are a few steps that can help you get back on track with your goals right away.
✔ Don’t starve yourself to make up for extra calories. This will be another battle lost. Instead, include protein at each meal and add extra fruits/vegetables throughout the day.
✔Get active for 30 – 60 minutes. Take a walk, go to the gym, play with the kids/dog outside, or another activity you like.
✔Get a good night’s sleep. I mean it…you need at least 7+ hours of good sleep. Adequate sleep helps our leptin (the hormone that tells us we’re full) and ghrelin (the hormone that tells us we’re hungry) levels are maintained, which keeps our cravings for junk food in check.
